ABOUT COLORADO FASHION WEEK (CFW aka COFW)
+ COLORADO FASHION WEEK (CFW) was created in September 2011 by Justice Kwesi Kwarteng, BFA, MFA to elevate Colorado’s presence in the global economy.
+ From day one, CFW set itself apart from traditional Fashion Weeks as the only digital-first Business of Fashion Venture Studio dedicated to positioning COLORADO as the emerging Fashion Capital of the Rocky Mountain West.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A VENTURE STUDIO
+ As a Venture Studio, CFW solves uncomfortable Business of Fashion Problems through Entrepreneurship and so that is why after studying the then emerging local fashion scene from 2006-2010, we planted a seed that would eventually become COLORADO FASHION WEEK in 2011.
+ Also the fact that even back in 2011, COLORADO had one of the most educated workforces in the US, with over 50% of all creative artists holding a Bachelor’s Degree, we knew with the right amount of support and love, our vision of positioning COLORADO as the Fashion Capital of the West could actually become a realty.
+ COLORADO has always been a global leader in the Creative Arts and Entrepreneurship but we lacked behind in when it came to over $250 Billion US Fashion and Apparel Economic Value because the Industry tends to be concentrated on the east and west coasts of the Country.
+ By creating CFW, COLORADO position itself to attract some of this enormous economic over the next couple of decades.
