+ COLORADO FASHION WEEK (CFW) was created in September 2011 by Strategic Investor, Talent Coach and and Business Consultant, Justice Kwesi Kwarteng, BFA, MFA with the intention of elevating Colorado’s presence in the global economy.

+ From day one, CFW set itself apart from all other Fashion Weeks by positioning itself as a digital-first Business of Fashion Venture Studio dedicated to positioning COLORADO as the emerging Fashion Capital of the Rocky Mountain West.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A DIGITAL-FIRST VENTURE STUDIO

+ As a Venture Studio, CFW solves uncomfortable Business of Fashion Problems through Entrepreneurship. We bagan to study COLORADO’s emerging regional Fashion scene from 2006-2010 and noticed an opportunity when others saw gloom and doom.

After Four plus years of local feasibility studies, we crafted a traditional Go-to-Market Strategy and introduced CFW on September 26, 2011.
Other factors that informed our decision to launch CFW was the fact, as of 2011, COLORADO had one of the most educated workforces in the US, with over 50% of all of the State’s Creative Artists holding a Bachelor’s Degree. With this in mind, we knew that with the right amount of support and investment, our vision of “positioning COLORADO as the Fashion Capital of the West…” could become an actual realty.

+ COLORADO has always been a global leader in the Creative Arts and Entrepreneurship but the State lagged behind in the $250 Billion+ USD Businmess of Fashion and Apparel Economy due to the fact the Industry tends to be concentrated on the East and West Coasts of the United States.

We created CFW to position COLORADO to attract some of this enormous Economic value over the next couple of decades through the development of an Economically Sustainable and well respected Fashion Industry.
